Blokes Care is about backing men — and backing each other.

We’re a tight crew of blokes doing meaningful work, side by side with our clients. This role isn’t about ticking boxes or clocking hours.

It’s about helping men stay independent, respected, and involved in their own lives — and knowing your team has your back while you do it.

We pay way above market rates ($45 per hour + super, casual) because we’re not looking for average.

We’re looking for good men with the right attitude. Qualifications are valued, but lived experience matters just as much. If you’ve got empathy, solid social skills, can listen properly, and aren’t afraid to roll your sleeves up, we can teach the rest.

What you'll need to work with us.

In possession or willingness to obtain:

- Valid First Aid & CPR (CPR must be valid for at least 3 months)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Check
- Full Right to work in Australia
- Willingness to complete onboarding and ongoing training where required

We work well with clients who do best when support is steady, relationship-based, and built on mutual respect rather than compliance or control.

Apply to become a Blokes Carer. 🤝

We do things differently. If you take pride in your work and care about people, you’ll fit in here.

To apply, please send the following two files to
info@blokes.care:

1. Resume.

2. Video application (1–2 minutes) telling us:

- Why your work ethic fits the Blokes Care mission
- What you find rewarding about supporting men with disabilities
- What you are hoping to gain by joining Blokes Care (freedom, flexibility, purpose, family time — be honest)

If you’re not willing to put thought into the application, this probably isn’t the right fit — and that’s okay.

About Blokes Care.

Hi, I’m Tom.

Blokes Care grew out of years of working directly with men in everyday life, not running things from behind a desk.

Having another bloke beside you who understands how you move through the world can make a real difference.

We all know the value of those men in our lives.

The ones who don’t need to say much. The ones who know when to listen, when to crack a joke, and when to give you a nudge forward.

That’s the heart of Blokes Care.

Tom Sijm

Founding Bloke

Blokes Care isn’t led from an ivory tower.

I’m still actively working with clients because excellent care doesn’t come from distance.

Staying involved keeps this business honest, practical, and accountable. It ensures decisions are made with real experience, not assumptions.

This will always be a care-first business. Everything else comes second.
